On a warm summer night, you can smell the super 8! Kidding. The place is great. Clean and well maintained.
Surprisingly good hotel here! I say surprising just because you think you're about to drive off the map before you get there. Great room, good service. Friendly people at the desk. Rob the maintenance guy fixed a light in our room quickly and painlessly. Kudos to him!!
This is the 2nd time staying here. Staff is friendly rooms are clean well decorated and the beds are soft. Breakfast is good. Free hot coffee always. Will return again
As someone who travels for work having a good hotel staff is such a treat. I’ve been at the Holiday Inn in Fairmont WV for months now and have gotten to know most of the staff. The GM, Dominick, is the best. Dom reaches out once my reservation is almost up and confirms my new reservation, always has my new key card ready, and is extremely professional in all our interactions. The housekeepers, especially Tessa and Ashli, are top notch. Having a filthy job, working long hours, and living in a hotel makes dirty floors and lots of dust. They take immense pride in there work and always leave the room spotless, even cleaning the mud off my personal boot dryer if needed! Always leaving extra wash cloths, towels, and body wash so I never have to worry about running out. Trash is always emptied and sheets are always clean. If you are in the area and want the best hotel around, this is it!
Stay was for one night in our way to North Carolina. The front desk was so nice and service was quick getting us a room. Room was pretty spacious compared to other hotels and very clean. Beds were comfy. Breakfast staff were very friendly.
My mom stayed here and had other family from Florida staying, we are from Ohio. Now the rooms where nice and there were drinks and snacks available around the clock and a huge Continental breakfast. Lots of common areas for family gatherings BUT I did see some gross messes by the pool and outside of the pool area. The use of some non slip rugs would be a good idea - as my mom has a cane and broken leg
Despite arriving late in the evening, the front desk employee was extremely friendly, helpful, and speedy. Even late at night they had the breakfast area open with grab and go snacks available (cereal, poptarts, bagels) and even had little individually wrapped cookies at the front desk for visitors to take as they please. Rooms were large, clean, and comfortable!
Great experience. Travelling with our dog. Arrived late for a one night stay. Staff was so nice and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was hot, clean and extensive. Highly recommend. One of the best short stop hotels!
